Responsibilities

Duties: Human Resources Manager, Kate Spade LLC, New York, NY. Prepare/maintain employment records related to hiring, termination, leaves, transfers or promotions and provide HR guidance to assigned business partners with a focus on employee relations, HR administration, compliance, recruitment, performance management, talent development, global alignment and organizational effectiveness. Explain HR policies, procedures, laws, standards or regulations. Partner with business leaders to keep a pulse on  manager effectiveness, morale, culture; use data and feedback to identify themes that inform the development of HR programs. Facilitate hiring process, including hiring related paperwork and new hire orientation and partner with hiring managers to create an effective on-boarding experience for new team members. Present training materials to associates. Address employee relations issues (such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or others) and conduct investigations as necessary. Define key interdependent relationships and assist with establishing “how we work” best practices throughout the organization. Guide staffing decisions to align to business trends and company priorities. Facilitate the performance assessment process ensuring goals are aligned with the overall company strategy and reviews are written, delivered in a timely fashion. Support business partners to create experiences that encourage career development and retention. Assist with conflict resolution, provide counsel, escalate to HR leadership and address as necessary. Ensure compliance with legal guidelines in partnership with corporate  partners. Support organizational alignment across International and Global business units.

Qualifications

 Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Sociology, Psychology, Human Resources or related field. Must have five (5) years progressive work experience in a HR Generalist or related role in a human resources department. Prior experience must include four (4) years experience of the following: Supporting HR programs in a product development environment including Hotline Ethics Call, Performance Management System, and HRIS System; Facilitating employee training including Annual Reviews, Establishing Performance Goals, Managing Employee Relations; and Working with partners across multiple functional groups and with employees at all levels. Prior experience must include three (3) years experience of the following: Supporting global/international HR partnerships; Retail or fashion industries; and Supporting European markets and understanding European Labor culture.
