Director of FP&A


General description of role:


Reporting to the VP-Finance and Treasurer, the Director of FP&A

will have responsibility for forecast and budget consolidation and executive reporting of the business.  Supervising 3 managers, cash analyst and the health services department. Position requires significant leadership interaction with Treasurer, CFO, General Counsel, all financial departments, Legal and Human Resources.


Key  responsibilities:



Financial Planning:

Develops and maintains all forms of financial planning (forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans) to ensure clear financial visibility of business operations and trends and drives the business to achieve financial goals.
Manages and monitors the Capital Expenditure process and budget.
Provides financial analysis, modeling, and recommendations for cash management and corporate finance projects (capital structure, debt, investments, etc).
Oversees and builds financial models to allow senior leadership an effective means to identify or assist with decision making.
Participates in and reviews the analysis, design and implementation of metrics and reporting, and refines existing metric criteria and relevance to the business.
Develops standardized approaches related to key financial processes while identifying opportunities to eliminate re-work & redundancies.
Assists senior management with presenting conclusions and recommendations on emerging financial issues and strategy.
Oversee the analysis of financial information to evaluate past and future financial performance
Provide Executive Management with financial results on a monthly and quarterly basis including analysis on revenue, costs, and key productivity metrics
Develop monthly / quarterly reporting packages
Validate and analyze monthly / quarterly results
  Provide Executive Management with visibility to forecasts and company-wide pacing
Develop monthly / quarterly planning / forecasting packages
Validate and analyze projection assumptions 
  Partner with brand  and corporate partners to define, track, and analyze key performance metrics; providing thought leadership in the creation of department level key metric dashboards
Own Corporate dashboard metrics (monthly submission to BOD)
  Implement changes to enhance management reporting and analysis, support business intelligence initiatives and process improvement
  Prepare financial presentations (Board of Directors financial packages) and various ad hoc analyses for Senior Management




Excellent excel and modeling skills are assumed
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Able to effectively manage projects; results oriented and able to roll-up the sleeves in order to accomplish necessary tasks
Self-starter with proven ability to work well across and organization and as a part of a team
Proven ability to work effectively in fast paced, deadline oriented environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles
MBA and/or public accounting experience a plus
Minimum 5 years of finance or accounting experience
Consumer products / retail experience preferred
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are necessary
